Insert Text (Titles, bulleted lists) If you choose the appropriate layout, it whould have spaces that you simply click and type your text.
If you need to insert text, Click the text box button at the bottom of your screen in the Drawing Toolbar.
Then Click on your slide where you want text and type it!
If you want to add a bulleted list, you need to choose that slide layout.   If you chose a wrong one, you can change it by going to Format - Slide Layout and then choose a layout with a bulleted list. It will automatically adjust your slide.   Cool!

Change Color, Size, Font Just like in a Word Processor!

Highlight what you want to change

Goto Format - FONT

Seclect your font, size, color, etc

You may also highlight and then use the draw menu at the bottom of your screen.

Change Background Color or Omit background Graphic Even if you select a design template you CAN alter the colors in two (2) different ways.!

Keep the design - change the colors Goto Format - Color Scheme and choose a new set of colors. You may Apply to All ( it will change ALL your slide) or just Apply and it will change only that slide

Change color of the background fill - Goto Format - Background - and look at the color of the backgound. If that is a color you see on your slides you CAN change it. If it is a color you don't see, you CAN'T.

Omit background graphic - Goto Format - Background - and click the box at the bottom. (see above) You may Apply to All ( it will change ALL your slide) or just Apply and it will change only that slide. An example of this is shown below:

Animate Text More specifics are located on the animate page.
Click the text to animate and click the Custom Animation button found on the animation Effects window or toolbar:

and the Custom Animation window appears!
Choose the effect you desire by clicking the down black triangle. If you wish to see the effect, click preview at the top right of the window. When done, click OK.

Rotate or Flip Text Click the Text you wish to rotate. Goto the DRAW button located on the Draw Toolbar at the bottom of your screen. Click Rotate or Flip and you will see your choices. If it is grey, that means you cannot rotate or flip the object.
If you choose Free Rotate the object highlighted gets a little green circle at each corner. Click on it with your mouse and drag it up or down to the angle you desire. (Notice the mouse has changed from an arrow to a circle with an arrow.)

Add Shadow Highlight the text you wish to shadow.
     PLEASE use this carefully! It can make                      your text unreadable!
Click the shadow tool located on the Draw Toolbar and choose the type of shadow you like. Two examples are shown below:

Use Borders on Text boxes

Click on the text box you wish to use a border on. It will highlight and little squares will appear at the corners.

Click the Border Button found on the Draw Toolbar.

To give it a color, click on the Line Color Button, found on the toolbar. If you wish to change the color, click on the arrow to the right. It will give you colors that match your color scheme or allow you to choose from More Line Colors or Patterned Lines. Explore!.
