2004-2005 Southern Westchester Re-Structured Tri-County Leadership
Institute (Formerly known as the Lower Hudson Leadership/Principals
Center)
Summary of Services:
Purpose: There is a national leadership crisis. The Southern
Westchester BOCES Advisory Council agreed that we must support our
building principals and other educational leaders of our schools.
The SW Tri-County Leadership Institute will provide expertly facilitated
forums for our educational leaders to work collaboratively with each
other regarding timely leadership issues.
- Geared toward Principals, Assistant Principals, (Elementary,
Middle, High), Department Chairpersons, New Administrators and
other aspiring administrators.
- Sessions to also include conversations regarding timely topics.
- Practicing Superintendents in our region will facilitate a majority
of the sessions.
- Southern Westchester BOCES Advisory Council Sub-Committee were
the key advisors to the re-structuring of this institute: Dr.
Barbara Fuchs, Dr. Ruth Greenblatt, Dr. Jackie Taylor, Dr. Barbarann
Tantillo, Dr. Doug Bolton, Mr. Lou Wool, Ms. Christie Simels,
Ms. Cathy Milliren, Dr. Sue Heiferman, Mr. Dennis Lauro.
