In-Service Courses/On-Site Programs

As school districts move to understand and implement the New York State Learning Standards, school based and district-based staff development activities will become increasingly important. The staff development department is available to provide awareness sessions for each of the standards and in-service courses and workshops on effective instructional strategies specific to the Learning Standards. These programs are tailored to meet your needs and can be developed on a wide variety of topics. Ongoing support is also available for participating districts. Arrangements can be made for BOCES facilitators to make on-site visits for work with individual teachers, grade level groups, teams of teachers and subject area departments. These visits are scheduled and designed to meet the needs of the participants.
