Real Estate Salesperson's Requirements:
Potential real estate salespersons must complete a 45-hour NY State Real Estate Licensing Course before applying for a NY State license. Salesperson candidates are required to be sponsored by a licensed NY State broker. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The NY Department of State administers the Salesperson’s Licensing Examination. Failure to make application for licensure within two years from the date of the state examination will invalidate the results of your test. NY State mandates 90% attendance for course credit.

Continuing Education for NYS Licensees:
Since November 1, 1995, N.Y. State regulations require that real estate licensees must complete 22.5 hours of approved continuing education in the two years preceding their license renewal. NY State mandates 90% attendance for course credit.


RES0101 Real Estate Salesperson License Qualifying Course

Qualify to become a licensed NY State real estate sales person with this certified course. Students intending to get a license and/or those with no previous training will learn about real estate instruments, law of agency, contract law, closing and related costs, financing procedures, valuation and listing and other subjects included in the 45 hour salesperson curriculum. You must attend 90% of classroom instruction to remain eligible for license credit. Textbook Required.

RES0107 Real Estate Documents

Congratulations, you’re buying and/or selling property. Here’s the course to help you understand the significance and handling of documents related to Real Estate Sales and Closing. Topics covered include escrow, deeds, mortgages, title insurance, closing statement, survey, notes and bonds and options. (22.5 hrs. CE credit)
