Teaching Assistants are in demand in many local
school districts. Start your career in education as a teaching assistant.
This course will prepare students in reading, writing, math and instructional
support, the four categories on the NY State Assessment of Teaching
Assistant Skills (NYSATAS). Anyone seeking certification as a teaching
assistant after February 2, 2004 will be required to achieve a qualifying
score on the NYSATAS exam. To enroll in this class you must have a High
School Diploma or equivalent (GED). To enroll in this class you must
