LPN2006 Licensed Practical Nurse

SALARIES ARE GOING UP! Practical Nursing Graduates are in demand. Recent grads are reporting entry level earnings of over $40,000. LPN is a 10-month Day or 20-month Evening program starting September and ending June. Receive clinical experience in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities as well as classes in nursing theory, anatomy, medical/surgical nursing, pediatrics, obstetrics and the administration of medication. Practical Nursing students qualify for the NY State Certified Nurse Assistant examination. Students successfully completing the SW BOCES program earn a Practical Nursing License by passing the National Council Licensing Practical Nursing Exam. LPNPRE0101 LPN Preparation Course

Acceptance into the BOCES LPN program hinges on passing the C-NET Entrance Exam. Boost your math, reading, writing and critical thinking skills with this prep course. Taking the LPN Preparation course does not guarantee admission into the LPN program. Students who are determined eligible under EDGE XII (Education for Gainful Employment) Grant may qualify for an LPN application rebate. • Tuition includes C-NET study guide and official practice tests.

CNA0101 Certified Nurse Assistant

Nursing Homes and Long Term Skilled Nursing facilities are looking for you... if you are a trained NY State Certified Nurse Assistant. This program includes both classroom training and clinical practice. Take advantage of evening classes at our Valhalla campus. EKG0101 Electrocardiography(EKG)

Study the principles of basic electrocardiography and train to perform a 12 lead EKG. Understand the relationship of the conduction system to the cardiac cycle. Learn to prepare patients for EKG, identify dysrhythmias, recognize technical errors and react to emergency situations. PHL0101 Phlebotomy

Want to learn the art of drawing blood and the responsibilities of the professional and skilled phlebotomist? This course is designed for individuals with some previous allied health training and/or experience. Topics of instruction include universal precautions, capillary punctures, complications of phlebotomy and special procedures and more.
