The Left Flank Battery
Here at the left flank battery,
an expansive view is seen directly in front, indicating how
effective these weapons might have been if their targets were
visible. However, these guns were kept unloaded at night and even
if they had been fired, they would caused casualties among the
British troops in front by the Outer Works.
