Flagstaff Battery

One iron 12 pounder ship gun. Like the other heavy guns in the upper works, this weapon was kept unloaded and intended for long-range targets. Unlike the right and left flank batteries, it was not confined by an embrasure but was mounted en barbette - over a low flat wall or platform.
