The 18 & 24 Pounder Cannons
As we turn north and enter the
high ground called the Upper Works, look
toward your left toward the left flank battery where 18 and 24
pounder cannons were positioned to guard against a daylight
attack. These weapons were part of the seven artillery pieces in
this fortification.
