| When AUP's are in place and not enforced they lose validity |

School Boards, Technology, and Sunshine Laws Before implementing electronic meetings, soliciting input from community members on important issues via bulleting boards and e-mail, or communicating from Board member to Board member on Board business via e-mail it is important that the school analyze the Sunshine Laws in place in your state. Although this is still a relatively new area of exposure, there are several states in which such meetings would be clearly illegal.
Sunshine Laws In some states, meeting electronically via e-mail, chat, or video conferencing is illegal. It is important to become familiar with your state's "Sunshine" regulations.
