Since 1994, the Foundation for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns has hosted an annual spring party. The first year a murder mystery was held In the high school gym and four years a dinner dance has been held at one of the local hotels. The dinner dances have proven to be the most effective means of raising money for the Foundation. Each year, approximately $40,000 is raised which has in turn been redirected to the individual schools to provide hardware and software.

These annual dinner dances not only raise money, but more importantly they provide a time for the community, local corporations, and the schools to come together. In an evening that showcases the schools and has everyone leaving feeling that Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow are special places to live and raise a family.
