Wing Warping by Alex,
Andrea, Chloe, Daniel, Daniella, The Wright brothers observed that when a bird flies it bends its wings. They got an idea from watching a buzzard twist its wings. The brothers thought that if they tried twisting the wings on the glider that they would be able to control the glider. They called this unique idea wing warping. The brothers built a wind tunnel to test their ideas about wing warping and wing shapes. The wind tunnel was a box with a fan at one end. They used a model of a glider that they built. They tried many different designs but most failed. Orville built almost 200 different wings to use in the wind tunnel. They got the design right when they built the 1903 Flyer with a motor.
