Hannah Teter is a snowboarding sensation, in the past few years she has won a gold metals in the Olympic Games in 2006 and quite a few other medals! She was born January 27, 1987 in Belmont, Vermont. Hannah started to snowboard when she was eight. She has four brothers; Abraham, Elijah, Amen, & Josh. Abe & Elijah are also professional snowboarders. Not surprisingly Hannah’s dad and mom used to be skiers but now they snowboard too! Hannah Teter has not only been in the Olympics but also the X games! She is so successful she was even in a movie called "First Descent: The Snowboarding Revolution." She first made the U.S. snowboarding team when she was only 16. She has been one of the world's best halfpipe riders since 2002.

Off her snowboard, Hannah enjoys skateboarding, surfing, soccer and jumping on her trampoline. She also likes to collect sap to make maple syrup. When she was young, she and her brothers would climb trees and collected sap. Hannah has her own maple syrup called Hannah's Gold. Profits from Hannah's Gold maple syrup go to feed hungry children in Africa.

Hannah’s worst injury was when she was landed on by another boarder while waiting to drop into the pipe at a World Cup in 2004 in Japan. She fractured a few bones in her back, but with the help of her trainer she recovered. Hannah hopes to defend her Olympic title in 2010.
