Jane Pauley
Did you ever see the show Dateline? If you did, you must have seen Jane
Pauley. Jane was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in October 1950. She graduated
from Indiana University. After graduation, Jane got a job working for the
campaign of New York City Mayor John Lindsay. In 1972 she got her first news
reporting job at WISH TV in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jane did a great job and soon
was working as co-anchor of the news show at WMAQ-TV in Chicago. Jane got her
big break in 1976 when she was chosen to be the co-anchor of the Today Show in
New York. She stayed there for 13 years. Today Jane is the host of
"Dateline NBC," one of the most successful newsmagazine shows on TV.
She is married to Garry Trudeau. Garry is a the author of the cartoon strip
"Doonesbury." They have three children Thomas and twins Ross and
Rachel. After all our research, we think Jane Pauley is pretty cool!
