Rosie O' Donnell

Rosie was born in Commack, Long Island, New York. She was born with the name Roseanne Teresa O'Donnell. She was born on March 21, 1962. She has three brothers and one sister. Rosie loved to play sports, especially baseball. Rosie's mom was very funny. She was very sad when mother Roseanne died. Rosie was only ten years old. After her mom died the children took care of themselves because their dad was too sad. They watched a lot of TV. Rosie used to run home from school and watch talk shows.

She always wanted to be a movie star. She dropped out of college and traveled around the country doing comedy. She made a big hit on Star Search in 1984 and she moved to Los Angeles, California.

Rosie has made lots of movies, including A League of Their Own, Harriet the Spy and The Flintstones.

1n 1996 Rosie got her own talk show, The Rosie O'Donnell Show. Rosie has two adopted children and they live outside of New York City. Rosie is very involved in charity work for kids.
