Madonna
Madonna Ciccone was born August 16, 1958 near Detroit, Michigan. Madonna's
mother died of cancer when she was only six years old, her father was an
engineer. It was clear to see even when Madonna was young that she loved being
on stage. She liked to be in her school plays. She was in the cheerleading
squad. Also she took piano lessons and ballet classes. In 1978 she dropped out
of University of Michigan and moved to New York City. In 1982, DJ Mark Kamins
helped Madonna by introducing her an executive at Warner Brothers. He liked her
demo of the song "Everybody" and signed her to a recording contract.
Over the next twenty years Madonna became a movie star and singing star. She has
two children, a girl Lourdes and a son Rocco. She is still a big star and we
really enjoyed learning about her.
