Janet Jackson is famous for her singing. She is the sister of Michael Jackson, one of the best singers in hot music today. Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana. At the age of three, her five brothers had achieved success with their vocal group, The Jackson Five. At the age of 7, she started performing with her brothers on stage in Las Vegas, Nevada. She later played roles on the TV show "Good Times," "Different Strokes" and "Fame."

She is still alive you can go see her in concert.  Most of Janet's songs have strong dance beat. She got 80 million dollars for her new record contract in 1996.
