Katharine Hepburn

Katharine Hepburn was born in Hartford, Connecticut on May 12, 1907. Her father was a doctor and her mom worked for woman's rights. She was the oldest of six children including a brother who sadly committed suicide. After the suicide Katharine tried to convince her father that her brother's death was an accident.

She graduated college in 1928 and decided to become an actress. Hepburn's family encouraged her to do anything she wanted but they did not support the fact that she wanted to be an actress. Hepburn appeared on Broadway in 1932 in "The Warrior's Husband." She was so good in the show that she got a contract to make movies. She was the winner of four Academy Awards for best actress.

Katherine Hepburn was a movie star for many years. Today she lives in Connecticut. That is the amazing story of Katharine Hepburn's life.
