Cathy Guisewite is the creator of the cartoon "Cathy." Cathy was born at Dayton, Ohio. She went to the University of Michigan and studied English. Cathy is still making the cartoon Cathy. She has been drawing the cartoon character for over 20 years. You can buy all kinds of "Cathy" stuff. There is a TV show based on her cartoons called "Carolyn in the City."

Cathy is recipient of numerous Awards including the Reuben award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the year "Best Comic Strip" and an Emmy for "Outstanding Animated program" for her first animated special "Cathy" which was aired on CBS. Now She lives in Los Angeles, California.
