Celine Dion
Celine
Dion was born on March 30, 1968 in Charlemagne, Canada. Celine had 13 siblings
and she was the youngest child. When she was very young, her parents ran a club
where her whole family performed. She grew up around music. When she was 5 she
stood on her table singing a Ginette Reno song. At the age of 12, Celine, her
mother and one of her brothers wrote a French song. They recorded it on a tape
and sent it to a personal manger named René Angelil. He loved the song and
decided to make Celine a star. Celine dropped out of school when she was 15 to
concentrate on her singing career. When she got older, she married René in
December 1994. She became really famous in America when she recorded the title
song of Beauty and the Beast. Our favorite song comes from the movie
"Titanic". It was called "My Heart will go on". She is going
to retire for about 2 years. She says "I miss my family and my home, but I
don't regret having my adolescence. I had one dream: I wanted to be a
singer."
