Celine Dion

Celine was born on March 30, 1968 in Charlemagne, Canada. Celine
is the youngest of 14 children. She grew up very poor. Her parents operated a small club
where her whole family entertained. When she was twelve, Celine, her mother and one of her
brothers wrote a French song. A tape of the song was sent to Rene Angelil, a personal
manager. He really liked what he heard and did everything he could to help Celine become
famous. Celine married Rene Angelil in December 1994. She became famous all over the world
when she recorded the title song for "Beauty and the Beast." The song won an
Grammy Award and an Academy Award.
