Emily Dickinson

Emily Dickinson was born in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1830. She was the finest women poet in America in the 19th century. She wrote in short stanza form and simple rhyme. She had a quiet life. She wrote about nature love and death. She wrote about 1,700 poems. She did not become famous until after she died in 1886. Four years later her first volume of poetry was published.
