Katie Couric

If you haven't seen the Today Show, it's time to take a look because Katie Couric is worth watching. Katie was born on January 7, 1957 in Arlington, VA. She graduated from the University of Virginia. Katie started her career at WTVJ, a television station in Miami. She moved to ABC News in Washington, DC in 1979. She joined CNN in 1980. He first on-air report was so bad that the president of CNN banned her from doing any more. Katie eventually got better and she is now a very good anchor for the Today Show on NBC since 1991. Kate lives in New York with her daughters Elinor and Caroline, husband Jay Monahan died in 1998 of colon cancer. She is the author of a children's book, "The Brand New Kid."
