Cleopatra
Cleopatra was
born in 69 BC. She was the Queen of Egypt from 51-30 BC. She had two sisters she
was the youngest of all three. Cleopatra was charming and smart. She won the
support of Julius Caesar, the Roman leader. They fell in love and Caesar helped
her regain her throne of Egypt. She went to Rome with Caesar and they lived
there for 2 years. After Caesar was murdered Cleopatra returned to Egypt. She
soon met Mark Antony, another Roman leader. They fell in love. Antony asked Cleopatra
to help him raise an army and conquer Rome. She gave him money and they created
a navy to fight Rome. His navy was destroyed by the Romans. Mark Antony killed
himself when he heard that Cleopatra was dead. It was not true. Cleopatra killed
herself so the Romans could not make her a prisoner.
