Tricia Byrnes

Tricia Byrnes is fantastic! She came in fourth place in the women's half pipe in the 2002 Winter Olympics. She was born on November 18, 1979 in Greenwich, Connecticut. Tricia won the halfpipe gold medal at the 2000 Winter Goodwill Games. She won seven World Cup events during the 1998-1999 season.

Tricia is the youngest of five children. Her brother Doug died of an asthma attack in the summer of 1999. Tricia went to Greenwich High School, the same high school as former NFL star, Steve Young, attended. Tricia started skiing when she was only four years old, and snowboarding when she was fourteen.

Tricia went back to college. She graduated from St. Michael's College in Vermont with a double major in English and psychology. Tricia lives in New Canaan, Connecticut.
