Joy Behar

Joy Behar a very talented comic. She is one of the hosts of the TV show, The View on ABC. Joy was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 7, 1943. She was married to Joe Behar from 1965 to 1981, and she has a daughter, Eve. Joy has a masters in English Education from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She originally began a job in the teaching field. She then set out for professional comedy, and immediately got jobs in some of the famous New York clubs. On television she starred in her own HBO special. In January 1991, Joy was TV Guide's "Personality of the Year." She appeared in several movies in the late 80s and early 90s. Joy began a monthly advice column Getting Personal in Good Housekeeping in October 2001. Joy also wrote a book, Joy Shtick: or What Is the Existential Vacuum and Does It Come with Attachments?
