Karen Allen

Karen Allen was born on October 5, 1951 in Carrollton, Illinois. She was often moving with her parents because her father was an FBI agent.

When Karen Allen graduated from high school, she moved to New York to study art and design. In 1974 she joined a theater group and after only 3 years, she moved back to New York and she studied with the Lee Strasburg Institute.

Finally, in 1978, Karen Allen made her movie debut, starring in "National Lampoon’s Animal House" and Hollywood was amazed. She next starred in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in 1981 alongside Harrison Ford where she was the leading lady, Marion Ravenwood.

She also had a brief stint on Broadway, starring in the 1982 production of "Monday After the Miracle," the story of Helen Keller's years at Radcliffe College.

After starring in many small films, Karen Allen is going to be back on the big screen, starring as "Marion Ravenwood" once more in the new summer movie, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" again alongside actor Harrison Ford.

Karen has a son named Nicholas, born on September 14, 1990.
