Laila Ali

Laila Ali is one of the daughters of the great boxer, Muhammad Ali. Her parents got divorced when she was 7 years old. Laila was too young to see her father box in person but she liked watching her dad on tapes. She grew up in Malibu, California and graduated from Santa Monica Community College. When Laila was 12 years old she told her mother she was going to move out at age 18 and open a nail salon and she did. Laila wanted to be a boxer just like her dad. She says, "My footwork is very good like my father's. I'm also very strong and very confident." When she was 21 years old she had her first professional fight. Lalia is only 5-feet 10 inch 166 pounds. She has sold the nail salon to concentrate on training as a boxer.
