Nevada

I left Arizona after a wonderful visit and decided to head north west to see the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. It was the most amazing dam! It is one of the world's tallest dams. It provides power and water to lots of places including cities in California. Lake Mead was really huge! Las Vegas is not too far away so I thought I'd go there next. Las Vegas was full of fancy hotels and casinos. There were a lot of people in Las Vegas, many came to gamble because gambling is legal in Nevada. There are great shows to see too! From there I headed northwest to visit Lake Tahoe. It is a great place to ski in the winter time. There is a lot of desert between Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe. I sure was glad my truck didn't break down. It is very dry in most of Nevada. There a lots of abandoned gold and silver mines too! The biggest mining towns were just east of Lake Tahoe. Nevada is sure an interesting place to visit but California is calling my name!
