I drove my truck to New Mexico. I first
stopped at Albuquerque. Albuquerque is New Mexico's largest city.
Albuquerque is New Mexico's economic and cultural center. While I was in
Albuquerque, I ate some very, very hot chilies. Then, I drove to Carlsbad
Caverns. Carlsbad Caverns is one of the world's largest caves! It measures
1,500 by 300 feet. From there, I drove to New Mexico's capital, Santa Fe.
Santa Fe is the oldest capital in the nation! I spent the night at the
Hilton Hotel in San Antonio. Did you know that Conrad Hilton grew up in New
Mexico? He built the Hilton Hotel cahin. Then I
went to Wheeler Peak, that's New Mexico's highest peak. It's 13,161 feet!
Then I went to Red Bluff. That's New Mexico's lowest peak! It's 2,842 feet!
In Red Bluff I met John Madden. He's a
sportscaster. I can't believe New Mexico was so exciting! Off to Salt
Lake City, Utah!
