This report is on the state of Wisconsin. Wisconsin is located in the North-Eastern part of America. The states that border Wisconsin are Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota. The whole northern boarder of Wisconsin is Lake Superior. On the other side, the northern side of Lake Superior is Canada. The population of Wisconsin is 5,169,677. It is the 18th biggest population in the United States of America.

Wisconsin has more than 8,000 lakes. In Wisconsin Lake Superior and Lake Michigan cover almost all the eastern part of Wisconsin. There are a lot of plains like the Great Lakes Plains. There are many other plains. There is a place called "Tim's Hill" that stands 1,952 feet tall.

Some interesting facts about Wisconsin are that the state tree, the Sugar Maple, is found almost everywhere. At the bottom of the tree, by the roots, you might find the state flower, the wood violet. At the top of the Sugar Maple, in the branches, there might be the state bird, the robin, and in a nearby stream there might be the state fish, the muskellunge, and in the forest you might see the state wild animal, the white tailed deer, being chased by the state animal, the badger, and watching this fight might be a citizen with a T-shirt that has the state seal on it and if that person is wearing a hat it would have the state motto,"forward", on it and under this person's feet, in the dirt, there might be the state stone , Red Granite, and all this might happen in the state capital, Madison.

The history of Wisconsin is very interesting. Did you know Jenn Niolet was the first white man in Wisconsin and that Wisconsin became the 30th state on May 29th, 1848? The first railroad train, that went from Milwaukee to Waukesha, was made in 1851. The first type writer was made by Mr. Shole, a citizen of Wisconsin! What cool is that the state civil service was established in 1905.

Wisconsin can also be very fun. For one thing there are more than 8,000 lakes so in the summer you can go swimming a lot and water ski , and water boarding, knee boarding, fishing , and for just a nice, relaxing day on the lake. In winter you can go skiing, and snow boarding, sledding, ice skating, and ice hockey, ice fishing, playing in snow, making snow angels and snow men. In the fall you can see the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin's home team, in foot ball games.

Wisconsin is very big on dairy. Dairy is the largest business in all Wisconsin! Did you know Wisconsin makes a lot of cheese? If you put all of the cheese in America put together, half of that would come from Wisconsin! That’s a lot of cheese and Wisconsin also makes a lot of machines, food, and paper.

Natural resources are things not made by man, the things that are above ground and the one below ground. The above ground people get a lot of because of the lakes and woods. People get a lot of wood from the woods and the water they get comes from the lakes. Below ground theirs gravel and building stones and sand which all have many, many uses.

Wisconsin is a wonderful place to visit, even moving there would be fun. Wisconsin is not that big, but it is always a joy to visit. The state fair is a wonderful time to be there, with the fire works and fun. As I said in the begging Wisconsin is wonderful.
