New Hampshire I am doing my report on New Hampshire. New Hampshire is located in Northeastern America. The capital in New Hampshire is Concord. The cities in New Hampshire are Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth, Dover, Keene and Rochester. The population in New Hampshire is 920,610. The climates in New Hampshire are the severe winters and the pleasant summers. The size of New Hampshire is 9,304 miles. New Hampshire has a lot of land forms they are Franconcia Notch,the white mountains, Mount Washington, Mount Clay, Mount Madison, Mount Moosilake, Mount Adams, Mount Monadock, and the Merrimack River. A lot of these land forms are famous. If you are walking through the New Hampshire woods you might find the Purple Finch and thats why the New Hampshire bird is the Purple Finch. And in and all around New Hampshire is the state tree the White birch. And when you are driving past the New Hampshire gardens you may see the state flower the Purple Lilac because it is the state flower. New Hampshire`s songs are Old New Hampshire, New Hampshire, My new Hampshire and New Hampshire Hills. On New Hampshire license plates it says the state motto "Live Free or Die." Lets go back in time to the history of New Hampshire. 1603 John Pring is the founder of New Hampshire. 1680 the King of England Makes New Hampshire a colony. 1763 England wins the French and Indian War. 1788 New Hampshire becomes the ninth state. 1869 Mount Washingtons railroad opens. 1934 231mph wind is recorded at the top of Mount Washington. And in 1983 John Sununu becomes Governer. In New Hampshire there are many places you can visit. These places are Mount Snow ski resort at Mount Snow, Lake Winnipasacki, Cannon Mountain, The White Mountains, The Sentinal Bridge and Pool, and Old Man Mountain. There are also a lot of things you can do in New Hampshire, Snowboarding, Skiing, Camping, Snowshoeing and Snowmobiling. New Hampshire manufactures electrical equipment, paper, wood, leather, metal, cotton, blankets, wrought iron and molded shapes. New Hampshire's natural resources below ground are granite, sand, quartz, gravel, garnet, mica, feldspar. New Hampshire's natural resources above ground are trees New Hampshire raises chicken, turkeys, beef cattle and eggs New Hampshire is a great place to live. It is the oldest summer resort in America. There is always something to do in New Hampshire. I think that when I grow up I am going to live in New Hampshire. |
