The population is 9,262,070. The capital is Grand Rapids. Some of the cities are Lansing, Detroit, and Ann Arbor. The landforms that are in Michigan are that it is very desert like land that is sandy, hills, lots of forests and trees, and a landscape of the ocean. Lake Michigan and Lake Heron split Michigan also has valleys. Michigan also has Mountains in the northwest part of Michigan. Michigan has very little plains, and a lot of highlands all most all over the place. The history of Michigan is that, in 1679 La Sally built the first fort in the lower part of Michigan. In 1711 Callidac was forced to leave Detroit. 1760 the French rule ended. 1781 Michigan had a Spanish flag put up. In 1812 Detroit surrendered to the British. Some Symbols and facts are, the nickname the Wolverine state and water wonderland because of the water. If you go fishing you might catch a trout because the water they have is the kind of water the trout like. If you go by somebody's house you might see a White Pine that is Michigan's state tree you might see an apple blossom that is the state flower. You might hear someone say if you seek a pleasant peninsula look around you some places you might want to visit are the great forests of Michigan. Most of the land has Rain Forests. If you go into the caves you might find copper. You might want to go cross-country skiing in Fort Wilkens. You also sit around a campfire and talk about the French History. You also might see people having French parties. This state manufactures many things, such as wooden furniture for homes and department stores. Automobile parts to fix cars, and aspirin to make headaches feel better. My state grows and raises trees such as the Iron wood, White Pine (which is also the state tree), and Black Walnut and seedling Pines to make wooden furniture that are sold to department stores. Michigan is a very interesting state with its beautiful forests and cities. Theirs is always something to do from hiking to swimming. It can also be fun going into the mountains. Michigan is a fun place to visit. |
