The islands of Hawaii are Maui, Oahu, Molokai, and Kauai. Hawaii has many land forms. It has volcanoes, rivers and craters. Hawaii has 2 very important craters. One of them is the Haleakala Crater. If you go to the top of the Haleakala Crater you get a good view of Hawaii. The Diamond Head Crater is a good place to visit. Hawaii has many active volcanoes. One of them is the Mauna Loa, one of the most active and dangerous volcanoes. Mt. Kilauea's lava is bright red and burning hot. Poamako is a large river where many ceremonies are held. The Menehune River is a legendary parallel river in Kauai. Hawaii has many important facts. The state flag is very important also. Did you know that the British flag is in the upper left corner of the flag? The state bird, the Nene is important. It is an endangered species. The red Hibiscus the state flower is very beautiful. First you have to start when Hawaii was found in 1778 by James Cook. Then in 1795 King Kamehamea 1 became ruler of Hawaii. Then he was burned to death by the lava of Mauna Loa in 1819. Aloha Tower is a large tower with a view of Diamond Head Crater. The tower also has a wonderful restaurant on the rooftop. At Sea life park you will see large fish do stunts and tricks. The Polynesian Cultural Center is where many festivals are held. Hawaii manufactures a lot of goods. Hawaii manufactures more pineapples than any other state. Hawaii also manufactures fruits and sugarcane. Hawaii manufactures oil, cement and steel almost every day. Another thing Hawaii manufactures is bread. Other things the state manufactures are soft drinks and dairy products. Another thing Hawaii manufactures is jewelry made out of seeds and stone. Hawaii grows and raises things all year around. An important thing the state grows and raises is pineapple. Sugarcane is something Hawaii grows all year around. Fish is something that can be raised but can't be grown. Hawaii also grows and raises fruits. Hawaii has natural resources above and below ground. Most of the resources above ground are in the water. Many of them are fish. Hawaii also has big fish like marlin. Another big fish is a swordfish. One of the most popular things that swim in the water is the dolphin. The last natural resource that is in the water is not a living thing it is coral. One of the most popular fruits in Hawaii, the pineapple is also a natural resource. Hawaii doesn't have a lot of resources below ground. The resources below ground are things people see everyday. One is stone. The other resource you may have in your driveway it is gravel.
