Then in 1639, Hartford, Wethersfield, and Windor unite to form the Connecticut colony. The Connecticut and New Haven became one in 1665. A special college was made in 1701. In 1875, Hartford became the capital. Finally, in 1965 a new state constitution was made and accepted.

George Washington was in Connecticut during the American Revolution. During the Revolutionary War there was a Revolutionary War office where George Washington wen to make his war plans. Some special things they do are bagpipe playing, drumming, and dancing competitions. Connecticut’s Women’s Hockey team is a famous Olympic team. Special places to visit are the National Park where people can camp and look at how beautiful it is there. Lake Tahoe is a good place to fish, or swim, or ride canoe. Other places to visit are the State Library Museum, the Connecticut Historical Society, and the Cultural Center.

Manufacturing is very important to Connecticut’s economics. It manufactures tools, consumer goods, silverware, and helicopters. They also make electronics and metals too. Connecticut is mainly a manufacturing state. Connecticut also grows plants and vegetables and raises animals. It has natural resources too. It has above ground resources like fisheries and forestry and below ground resources like mining.
