Connecticut played an important roll in the United States history. Hartford is established in 1636. The New Haven colony was founded in 1638. Then in 1639, Hartford, Wethersfield, and Windor unite to form the Connecticut colony. The Connecticut and New Haven became one in 1665. A special college was made in 1701. In 1875, Hartford became the capital. Finally, in 1965 a new state constitution was made and accepted. George Washington was in Connecticut during the American Revolution.
