Stone Barns Animals in the Fall

On a chilly and sunny morning I took a nature walk along the paths at the Stone Barns. I was surprised to see a wooly bear in Mrs. Shemin’s hands. The wooly bear felt furry and was more brown than black. I enjoyed the smell of apples but there were no apples there! But I smelled them anyway in the cool fall air. In the distance I could hear a plane flying in the sunny blue sky. I was waiting patiently to go into the herb garden. The plane’s engine roared very loud. I watched the black and brown bucking horses whenever we passed them. It was fun watching them play.
