Stone Barns Animals in the Fall

"Neigh, neigh!" I heard as I dashed to the horses" pen at Stone Barns. I looked closely at the beautiful mammals’ shining brown coats of hair. As I listened closely, I could hear the sounds of grazing creatures biting off grass and chewing it with their big teeth. The air was filled with the smell of horses and manure. It was exciting to observe these strong, playful ponies. As we walked away, I thought about riding and feeding them.
