Wolf Spider
by Chris M. & Omari
Wolf spiders have four small eyes in a row. They have 3 small
claws and very, very large eyes! Wolf
spiders are brown and have a striped pattern. They are long hairy and they live
on the ground. Wolf spiders are not web weavers. The wolf spider is the most
common spider. You can find them running on the ground. Sometimes people think
that they are tarantulas. Wolf spiders are nocturnal and they can see very well.
The wolf spider is different from other spiders because the mother carries her
spider sac on her back. After the spiderlings hatch they stay on their mother's
back until they grow big.
