Water Spider
By Abigail & Geena
The water spider looks green and has long legs. It has two body parts. The
water spider lives in ponds underwater. It makes a bell shaped web. The water
spider swims upside down and is the only spider, which can swim freely
underwater. The water spider eats water bugs. It traps a bubble of air and
brings it below to its home so that it can breathe while it is under water! The
Water Spider traps food in the bubble. Water spiders use silk to house their
eggs underwater. They hibernate in the winter. Water spiders are only found in
Europe.
