Dear Parents and Neighbors,

The Board of Education for the Pocantico Hills Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Freddie D. Smith as Superintendent of Schools effective July 1, 2008.

Dr. Smith hails from the City School District of New Rochelle where he is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel and Curricular Services.

Dr. Smith holds a B.A. in Education from South Carolina State University, a Masters in Education from Virginia State University, and a Doctorate in Curriculum Instruction from the University of Virginia (Curry School of Education).

There will be a reception for Dr. Smith on Tuesday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the School Library.  Please join the Board of Education in welcoming Dr. Smith to the Pocantico family.
