I was watching the Discovery Channel in my living room when the power went off. I went down  stairs to check the fuse box. As I walked down the stairs I saw an old carpet rolled up and one ice skate hanging from the ceiling. A big window let in a bright light. The light shone on a little door in the basement. I heard a strange noise. I turn around, but didn't see anything. I heard the noise again and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a little green hand. I heard the noise even louder. I turned around and there was an alien right in front of me. I looked around to see if there was a bat. I tried to swing the bat at him-chasing him, trying to get him out of the house. The alien said to stop. "I'm your friend! I won't hurt you," he yelled. Now that I knew he was friendly, I told him that he could stay. I told him the house rules. You can't break anything, you can't annoy my mom, dad or my sisters, and you can only sleep in my bed. The alien agreed and said OK. I just hope that another alien will never come to visit again!
