Captain Tory
by Jackson

One dark, foggy evening, a nine-year-old boy was walking in the town.  Suddenly, he heard a yell  from the dock. "Ahoy," said a captain "follow me." The boy followed him to a gloomy boardwalk. "What's your name?" asked the boy lurking behind him. "Captain Tory," shouted the captain. Captain Tory was holding a dull lantern, but they could still glance ahead. The boy finally caught up to Captain Tory at a  rickety fence. Captain Tory swung his lantern three times and a gloomy ship appeared. "what's the ships name'' muttered the boy." "Schooner" answered Captain Tory. Captain Tory lead him on the ship and showed him around. The last room he showed the boy was the hall of pirates. the boy was amazed at how many pirates and captains there were in the past. Captain Tory was about to show the boy a famous pirate but he saw that he was not paying attention. The boy was wondering about what his parents were thinking.

The boy's thoughts grew deeper about his parents until finally he called out, "I want to go home."  A moment later, the boy shot for the exit when suddenly the ship jolted.  "Oh, no!" cried the boy.  He quickly dove into the water and his teeth started to chatter.  He swam for shore and sprinted back home.  "From now on I'm not going out that late!" he exclaimed.
