A Strange Day in July

A little boy named Chris was bored one day so he went to the beach. When he was at the beach he saw three shiny incredible rocks. Picking them up Chris decided to skip all of the three stones. The boy noticed he had skipped the third rock the farthest he had ever done in his whole life. Then Chris dashed straight to his best friend Samantha's house. She was wearing a white silky dress, with a black belt, and red shoes. Chris quickly grabbed her and they raced to the rocky beach.

Samantha asked, "What's all the excitement"?

Chris said, "Before I was here and I saw 3 pretty stones. I skipped all but the third one far away in the distance."

Samantha said, "Show me."

Then Chris saw three rocks that shined in the distance. He picked them up and the two first rocks were not his best. Then with the third rock, he threw with all his might, but the third rock came skipping back. The two kids were shocked with amazement. Out of the blue, there stood a little figure with a crumpled up back, white curly beard, and big fat green feet, it seemed to be a goblin. The kids shivered as they slowly walked over to the creature. They asked, "What's your name?"

"My name is Rumplegreenfeet and I like to play around!" he answered.

Chris asked, "Can I keep on throwing rocks in your lake?"

"Hmm, fine but, don't leave me out of the fun," said the goblin. Chris and Samantha said, "OK," and they started skipping rocks. "You must skip the rocks into the water and sure enough, I will come out and play," said the goblin.
