The Wave
by Rachel
A beautiful, rolling, and gentle wave moved toward me. Its sky blue color instantly made me feel calm and the way it rolled in the ocean gave a peaceful look. As the wave came closer, the sand began to feel so squishy around my feet.
I just knew I had to bring that wave home. Luckily, I brought a red bucket. As soon as I was about to scoop it, my mom screamed that it was time to go. I said, "Hold on." I hurried and scooped the wave up.
When I arrived back home, I quickly went in my room and opened my drawer. I picked out a safe spot to put my wave. As the days went by my wave got smaller until there was not anything left. I never forgot that wave!
