My Life with a Wave
By Caroline
One beautiful sunny autumn morning I took a walk to the nearby beach. I saw a beam of sunlight shining like an angel coming down from heaven. The spray of the waves smelled like seashells. Suddenly I saw a big wave coming at me. I started to run but it slapped me right on my face. ''Owww,'' I yelled. That hurt so much that I started to cry.
I sat on the shore as far away from the water as I could. I took a minute to think, "I've got it!" I shouted, "I will put it in a bucket and bring the wave home." Now I had to figure out how to catch it. I will trick the wave into coming ashore with a bucket of seashells and sand because that is what they like to eat. Then I called the wave, "Here wave, here wave."
All of a sudden the wave grew very large and roared at me. He rushed to the shore and jumped into the bucket. I smacked a lid on my bucket and ran home.
I went upstairs and dumped the wave in the bathtub. I ran to the closet for some toys and threw them in the tub with a big splash! I noticed the wave was nice and quiet. I guess the wave was happy because he just needed a friend!
