Meeting
Mrs. Obama at Stone Barns on September 24, 2010 was a great experience because I
was able to have my picture taken with her and sing a song to her. I even got to
shake the first lady of Haiti’s hand.
While my group was in the herb garden picking herbs, the first lady of Russia asked me what my name was and I told her Lizzie. She was very nice. A picture of me and the first lady was in the Journal Newspaper. I felt famous!
We also got to have lunch at the Blue Hill Restaurant. My group was able to help Chef Adam make homemade pasta with pesto sauce. For dessert we had plum crisp with whip cream it was delicious!
I will never forget the day my third grade class at Pocantico Hills went to Stone Barns to meet the first lady of the United States Mrs. Obama.
