Meeting Mrs. Obama

On September 24, 2010 my third grade class and I met Mrs. Obama at Stone Barns. I was able to give Mrs. Obama a flower from the herb garden. She brought other first ladies from around the world with her. I even got my cheek pinched by the first lady of Turkey. I got my picture taken by a reporter who also interviewed me and I appeared in the newspaper!

We got to cook with the chefs of Blue Hill Restaurant. We made cavatelli pasta with a green sauce and plum crisp for dessert. It was delicious and a lot of fun! We even got to pick cherry tomatoes in the garden.

This was a great experience for me and I will remember it for the rest of my life!
