The Golden Harp
By Katherine

I was hiking one day and I came across a pretty forest. I went inside and said "Wow, this is the brightest forest I’ve ever seen!" When I looked up I saw the sapphire blue sky and the emerald green leaves on the tall trees. I heard the blue birds chirping and the frogs splashing into the pond.

I took a whiff of the lavenders and roses scattered on the ground. As I bit into the ripe raspberry from the raspberry bush, I could taste the sweet and sourness like a sweet tart. When I reached my hand and touched the water, I felt the coldness touching my warm hand. It made me have the biggest goose bumps ever!

"I think this is a magical forest," I thought. As I climbed the rocks I spotted a glimpse of a golden harp.

But when I went closer, I saw red beady eyes looking straight at me. I touched the harp and it began to play. I felt so proud until I saw beady eyes coming closer. As I started too grab the harp, the animal jumped out, It was a wolf! It was licking its lips and I just knew it was the end of me so I threw him some berries.

Next to the harp, I saw a stone. It had words on it, they said" If you find this harp please return it to…" But the word was missing. "I should keep – But then the wolf stopped eating and then about 4 feet away from me. I closed my eyes, took hold of the harp and wished to go to my lake house. My heart stopped beating, and when I opened my eyes I saw spirals and the next thing I knew I was back at my lake house with the harp. When I started to play, a paper fell out. It said " This harp will grant you 3 wishes"

I was so exited! The next day I thought of 2 more wishes. The 1st one is to have a Persian kitten the 2nd one is to have a Norfolk Terrier. And guess what ;they both came true! I keep the harp in my room for the rest of my life. I had the best life anyone could ever want. I wonder if it was because of the harp.
