Just deserts

One day I was picking pumpkins in my pumpkin patch on Long Island. I thought I felt the pumpkin move I thought it was my imagination. I felt it move a second time and the pumpkin looked even brighter. I told my mom, but she just laughed. I went to cut the pumpkin and the glow was so bright it lit up the entire dim kitchen. I dropped the knife onto the hard tiled floor.
It lit my big beady brown eyes like a flash light in my face. I told my mom, "Come here, look at this pumpkin. The minute I cut into the pumpkin it lit up in my face." She said, "Stop lying." "I am not lying. I am telling the truth I saw it with my own two eyes. Seriously, you have to come." So she said, "Ok, let me see this magical pumpkin." When my mom came to see the pumpkin it stopped, so she said, "I know you were lying." So when she left the kitchen, it lit up again. It was crazy because when no one is around it glows but when they are around it stops because it is a magical pumpkin. I told my mom that, but she did not believe me. So she told my dad and he did not believe me ether so I told my sister and brother and they saw it they were speech less they did not know what to say so one day I went to school and when I got back I saw it on the table and I thought since it is a magical pumpkin lets see if it could fly so I closed my eyes and said abracadabra let me fly so when I opened my eyes I was in they air so my parents saw me and they said get down hear right now so I said no so when I said no I landed so when I get down my parents said what was that the magical pumpkin I told you about even Linda and Enrico saw it really, yes really I am sorry we did not believe you it is ok.
