My Life with a Wave
By Nicola

One morning when the sun was rising up from the beautiful horizon above the sparkling sea, I went to a beach in Florida to catch a wave. As I walked the smell of the salt water told me I was getting closer. Finally, when I got to the sand I wadded knee deep into the water and when a big wave came I dipped my cup in and being careful not to spill my wave, I took the cup out again and gazed at the shining wave I had caught.

When I got home the wave started exploring. It especially liked my glass statue of a dolphin jumping out of the water, so we played with it. After that the wave wanted to play tag. I said, "OK." But I shouldn't have. The wave ran away from me so fast that it splattered everything with water. "CUT IT OUT!!" I yelled. The wave got mad that I yelled. So it let go.
